Description WW2 Italian-German North Africa campaign medal and original ribbon in good used condition. The medal is a bronze die struck base. It is 31mm in diameter and shows very good detail. It is a type two from the five different types made. The medal is made by F.M Lorioli & Sons Milan Italy. It has the inscription Lorioli Milano on the back of the medal on the left hand side with the designers name De Marchis on the bottom of the outside rim. The award was only awarded to German troops from 1942 and in 1944 when the Italians switched sides to the allies the award was withdrawn although it was re-instituted in 1957.
