The Momentum J6 is a 2.5-way design based on the configuration of the Ultimatum XL6. The upper section houses the AMT tweeter and Neat’s own ‘R3’ unit handling bass and midrange, thus acting as a sealed 2-way loudspeaker in its own right. This is sectioned off from the lower section, which features two downward-facing 170 mm drive units in isobaric configuration, handling only the very low bass frequencies as if it were an integrated subwoofer. The addition of the Ultimatum style plinth gives great stability to the enclosure, resulting in exceptionally precise stereo focus. In common with all Neat loudspeakers, the crossover components are all hard-wired, with point-to-point connections in order to maximise integrity. The components are of premium audio quality, carefully chosen for their contribution to the cohesion of the overall performance. The Neat J-6 offers genuine high-end performance in a compact and more affordable package.
