TA Revolver Precision Machined Outer Platter Machined from a single billet of high grade austenitic (non magnetic) stainless steel. Revolver weighs 2.530 kg /- 45 gm. Linn platters vary a bit but mine is 2.542. In the vast majority of cases Revolver is a straight forward swap over upgrade. The inner diameter remains the same ensuring compatibility with both Radikal and Lingo 4 sensor pick ups. The primary benefit is even weight distribution which allows the stylus to track the groove at optimum level. Unlike a cast platter there is no porosity (gaps or air pockets, think honeycomb bar).Porosity has a detrimental effect causing the platter to be unbalanced. Revolver is not subject to these compromises.
