He was an author of several booked devoted to the subject of Black Americans in the U.S. Military, etc. A constant show goer, and a good friend of Mike McAfee, who obtained these items from Bill directly, and came out of the former’s collection just a few years ago now. Included are Gladstones, dog tags (Tetanus dated 1951), on chain, with a P-38 can opener (probably the most used personal item in the field by G.I.s; 2 Korean war era Korea Shoulder tabs, and a JUSMAG -K (Joint U.S. Military Advisory Group – Korea badge (2 1/8″ high, missing pins for clutches).
